Twenty six new cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed across the country over the past 24 hours, including 14 local transmisions and 12 imported cases.
Of the local infections, seven cases were reported in Vientiane, four in Vientiane (prov.), two in Luang Namtha, and one in Xayaboury.
The imported cases were reported in Champassak 8 and Savannakhet 4.
Since March 2020, Laos has logged 2,136 cases of Covid-19.
As of Jun 24, 2021 over 1.38 million people had been vaccinated against Covid-19 with China-made Sinopharm sharing 90% of the Covid-19 vaccines administered in the country.
The immunised include 869,006 people with first dose and 513,003 people given a second dose.
