Lao-Viet Bank and Nampapa Nakhone Luang on Wednesday in Vientiane Capital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the payment of water supply bills through the Lao-Viet Bank’s (LVB) electronic system.
The MoU was signed by Director of Vientiane State Water Supply Enterprises Khampheuy Vongsakhamphoui and Director of Lao-Viet Bank Nguyen Van Binh.
The MoU aims to ensure the convenient payment of water bills for the residents of Vientiane Capital.
Over the past years, the bank has provided customers modern services, including mobile banking, internet banking, ATMs, LSMS, money transfers, currency exchange, deposit service and salary payment.
The bank also has a bill payment service to pay telecom bills for Unitel, Lao Telecom and ETL customers.
Currently, the LVB has branches in the provinces of Luang Prabang, Xieng Khuang, Oudomxay, Khammuan, Savanakhet, Champasak and Attapue.
Many big Vietnamese state projects in Laos and direct investment projects of Lao enterprises have arranged funds and loans via LVB.
LVB has actively assisted Vietnamese enterprises who invested in Laos, not only by supplying funds for their projects, but is also a bridge connecting to the currency exchanges and payment transfers with a turnover of hundreds of billions of Lao Kip and Vietnamese Dong each year.
LVB in Laos is satisfying the need for banking services of both countries’ enterprises, contributing to stabilising the currency market in Laos, and strengthening trade cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
