10 Cebu LGUs showcase best products at trade fair


CEBU CITY: Nine towns and a highly urbanized city joined forces on Friday to showcase the best products that feature their cultural heritage.

Products displayed during the fair range from native delicacies such as “torta” and “pin~ato” to furniture and native apparel.

Governor Gwendolyn Garcia led the launching of another leg of the ‘R’ Cebu Trade Fair,’ exhibiting products from the second and sixth districts of the province.

Garcia said that without leaving the capital city, the public can experience Cebu’s second district municipalities of Argao, Dalaguete, Alcoy, Boljoon, Oslob, Santander, and Samboan; the sixth district’s Consolacion and Cordova; and the lone district of Mandaue City.

Now on its fourth year, the fair runs from Friday until Sunday at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu Level I Atrium here.

‘Cebu must preserve its unity, and may I now clearly state for everyone to understand I will do what it takes to preserve this unity in the province of Cebu,’ Garcia said in her speech.

The governor also c
ited the support of the mayors and other local officials in activities that promote Cebuano culture, especially in trade fairs that benefit small and medium entrepreneurs in the province.
