Some 1,076 new Covid-19 cases and one new case dead attributed to Covid-19 have been recorded over the previous 24 hours, according to the National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

The new infections have brought the total to 47,056 including 82 deaths. The newly reported deaths were documented in Vientiane.

Some 754 patients were discharged from hospital yesterday.

Of the new cases, 1,071 were classified as domestic infections with 540 recorded in Vientiane, 174 in Luang Prabang and 93 in Vientiane (province). The provinces are top three with highest infections.
