‘Undesirable’ Indian national nabbed in Binondo

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Monday reported the arrest of a 34-year-old Indian national who has been subject to deportation since 2017. In a statement, the BI said Kirandeep was nabbed in an operation in Binondo, Manila last June 20. Kirandeep has been long tagged as an undesirable alien for misrepresentation. “Kirandeep was said to have misrepresented himself upon entry, claiming to undergo pilot training in a local aviation school,” the BI added. Records show that no Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines-accredited pilot school has confirmed his enrollment. The aviation school he was claiming to undergo training was also reported as “non-existent.” Kirandeep now awaits the completion of his deportation procedure under the BI custody in Taguig. Once deported, he shall also be included in the country’s blacklisted foreign nationals. The BI maintained its determination to implement stringent border and immigration measures to combat illegal activities, unlawful actions of undesirable aliens and human trafficking. “The BI remains committed to upholding immigration laws and maintaining border integrity. This operation demonstrates the dedication and professionalism of our intelligence operatives,” BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said.
