Kapampangans thank PBBM for affordable housing projects

Local officials and residents of this province on Monday thanked the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for implementing a massive housing project that could provide Kapampangans with decent, safe and affordable shelters. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally inspected the ongoing construction of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pamilyang Pilipino Housing (4PH) project in this city, along with House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DSHUD) Secretary Rizalino Acuzar, Vice Governor Lilia Pineda, City Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag and other national and local officials. Pineda, in her message, thanked the Chief Executive for the government’s flagship housing program which is a fulfillment of a lifelong dream of the Kapampangans to have a decent and affordable home they could finally call their own. ‘Maraming salamat po mahal naming Pangulo. Alam ko po na maraming matutulungan ito hindi lamang ang City of San Fernando at maging provincewide (Thank you very much to our dear President. I know that it will help a lot, not only in the City of San Fernando but also province-wide),’ Pineda said as she assured her full support to all the programs and projects of the Marcos administration. Caluag likewise thanked the Marcos for the project that will serve as the realization of one of the dreams of the Fernandinos. ‘Maraming, maraming salamat po mahal naming Pangulo sa pagbibigay at pagkakaloob ng proyektong pabahay sa ating mga Cabalen na nagnanais magkaroon ng disente at sariling tahanan. Nawa’y maging simula po ito ng sunod-sunod pang magandang programang pabahay ng ating gobyerno, hindi lamang para sa mga Fernandino, kungdi sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino (Thank you very much our beloved President in providing housing project for our Cabalens who want to have their own decent house. May this serve as the start of the successive government’s housing program not only for the Fernandinos but for every Filipino family),’ the mayor said. Lisa Miranda, a resident of Barangay Del Carmen, this city, said they are excited about the housing project which will be a huge step toward realizing their dream of owning a house. “Nagpapasalamat po ako sa Pangulong Marcos at mabibigyan kami ng ganitong pagkakataon na magkaroon ng pabahay dito sa aming lugar (I am thankful to President Marcos that we will be given this kind of opportunity to have a housing project in our area),’ Miranda said. Spearheaded by the DSHUD, the multi-story housing project named Crystal Peak Estates is part of the government’s continuous efforts to eradicate the country’s 6.5 million housing backlog. Strategically situated on a 9.8-hectare land, the project is composed of 27 buildings with around 8,000 housing units that can accommodate up to 10,250 families. Social Housing Finance Corporation president and CEO Federico Laxa said the project is in the center of the business and commercial districts of San Fernando. ‘Ito po ay katuparan ng inyong pangarap mahal na Pangulo na kung saan ang lahat ng pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan ay malapit sa kanilang tahanan (This is the realization of your dream our dear President wherein all the needs of our countrymen are near their homes),’ Laxa said. Two other 4PH housing projects located in the towns of Minalin and Candaba, also in this province, will be implemented. Likewise, in the highly urbanized city of Angeles, some 13,000 housing units will also be built under the 4PH program
