Vientiane: Held under the theme “Sharing Technology, Cultivating Talent, and Benefiting the People,” the forum leveraged China’s extensive experience in power infrastructure to promote the adoption of advanced technologies and international standards, including ultra-high voltage transmission and smart distribution networks.
According to Lao News Agency, the forum focused on talent development by launching standardized training courses covering grid planning, dispatching, and operation and maintenance. It also expanded programs to train Lao technical specialists, aiming to build local expertise for long-term energy development.
To enhance public benefit, discussions centered on improving the reliability of power supply in Vientiane and along the China-Laos Railway. Efforts to reduce distribution network losses and explore joint emergency response mechanisms were highlighted, further strengthening China-Laos cooperation through shared public welfare initiatives.
