Manila: The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO) has appointed a new Officer-in-Charge (OIC) following the reassignment of Col. Ronan Claravall. Col. Criscente Tiguelo took on the role during a formal turnover ceremony at the NOrPPO headquarters at Camp Fernandez in Agan-an, Sibulan, Negros Oriental, held late Tuesday afternoon.
According to Philippines News Agency, the change of command was overseen by Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, Director of the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR). In a statement, Ibay expressed confidence in Tiguelo’s leadership, emphasizing a commitment to maintaining peace and order in Negros Oriental. The PRO-NIR expects a continuation of strong law enforcement initiatives aligned with its mission and vision, as well as those of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The statement further reaffirmed PRO-NIR’s dedication to prioritizing responsive, community-focused policing, grounded in transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Before his new designation, Tiguelo served as the chief of the Regional Operations Division of PRO-NIR and is a member of the PNP Academy Class of 2000.
Col. Ronan Claravall, who belongs to PNPA Class of 1999, will be transitioning to the Directorate for Operations at the Camp Crame national headquarters in Quezon City.
