Relief items presented to over 600 flood affected families in Savannakhet

Between Mar 26-29, the Lao Red Cross Society presented relief items worth almost LAK 200 million (slightly over US$ 21,000) to over 600 families in 10 villages in Savannakhet Province that were hit by floods last year.

The relief package, donated by the Republic of Korea National Red Cross, included rice, dried food, sanitary kits, medicines and drinking water.

The beneficiary villages included Xepong, Lavang Yai, No Sivilay, Hintangkang, Phouviengkham, Nachanthang, Kengsangku, Nathaman, Naphaniet and Thaphi.
