That Luang festival 2022 is scheduled on Nov 4-8 with many activities, the President of Lao Front National Construction of Vientiane Thanoum Thamnong told at the press conference on Oct 19.
The celebration is much more interesting than in previous years. Replicas of houses Lao people lived in during ancient times will be exhibited along with depictions of the old life of Lao people.
In order to avoid overcrowded, the organising committee has scheduled the event at the Lao-ITECC starting from November 2-8.
the That Luang square will be used for displays of the so-called One District One Products (ODOP), cultural and tourism products, and fine cultural performances, new innovation, high-speed railway, logistics zone, expressway and products from Vietnam.
Mr Thanoum said that the purpose of this event is to preserve and promote the culture and traditions of the Lao people as well as the people in Vientiane, which has been poured down from ancestor to generation recognized in the international arena and to create an opportunity for the implementation of 2 national agendas such as economic recovery through the promotion of tourism, trade, and model family products.
One district, One Product (ODOP) and the products of small and medium enterprises expected to display and sell .
