President of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue arrived at Wattay International Airport, Vientiane for his three-day visit to the Lao PDR.

He was greeted by Vice President of the National Assembly Sommad Pholsena, other senior officials of the National Assembly, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Lao PDR Nguyen Ba Hung and relevant officials.

The Vietnamese official aims his visit to strengthen the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, governments and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, especially the cooperation between the two national legislative bodies.

The Parties, governments and peoples of Laos and Vietnam are preparing to celebrate the Laos-Vietnam Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022 in accordance with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Laos and Vietnam, and the 45th anniversary of the Lao-Vietnamese Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.
