Congratulations Extended to Lao People’s Revolutionary Party on 70th Anniversary

Hanoi: The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) on the latter’s 70th founding anniversary (March 22, 1955-2025).

According to Lao News Agency, the CPV Central Committee noted that under the LPRP’s leadership over the past seven decades, the Lao people have overcome numerous challenges, achieving significant victories in their struggle for national liberation and construction. The Lao People’s Democratic Republic has maintained political stability, enhanced national defence and security, achieved economic growth, ensured social order, and improved living standards while expanding international relations.

The LPRP’s achievements have elevated the role and stature of both the Party and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in the region and the world, providing support for the Vietnamese Party, State, and people. The CPV Central Committee affirmed its strong support for Laos’ reform efforts, expressing confidence that under the LPRP’s leadership, the Lao people will continue to achieve success in their reform process and socio-economic development plans.

The CPV Central Committee highlighted the enduring friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, a relationship founded by historical leaders and nurtured by successive generations. This bond is considered a unique and valuable asset for both nations, bringing tangible benefits and fostering peace, stability, and development in the region.

On this occasion, the CPV Central Committee expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Lao Party, State, and people over the years. It pledged to work closely with Laos to maintain and strengthen their special solidarity, aiming for the prosperity of both countries and regional stability.

Additionally, CPV General Secretary To Lam sent congratulatory flowers to LPRP General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and former leaders. Bui Thanh Son, a CPV Central Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, extended congratulations to Thongsavanh Phomvihane, a member of the LPRP Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, as well as Bounleua Phandanouvong, acting head of the LPRP’s Commission for External Relations.
