The National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has reported eight new cases of Covid-19 today.
The new infections included six local transmissions in Vientiane and two imported cases from Thailand in Champassak.
Some 2,033 have been infected with Covid-19 since March 2020. This includes 1,910 recoveries, 120 active cases and three associated deaths.
As of Jun 15, 2021, across the country, over 1.13 million had been vaccinated against Covid-19 with 719,562 given fist doses and 414,585 receiving second doses.
