Sorsogon: A lone bettor from Sorsogon province became a millionaire after winning the PHP49.5-million Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot in Sunday night’s draw.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) stated on Monday that the winner placed the bet at Lucky Circle Corporation, SM City Sorsogon, Maharlika Highway Balogo, Sorsogon, and successfully picked the winning numbers 05-17-18-02-45-57.
The winner is required to claim the jackpot at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City within one year, presenting the winning ticket along with two identification cards. Lotto winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax, as per regulations.
The PCSO further noted that any prizes not claimed within a year will be forfeited. In addition to the jackpot, four other bettors won PHP120,000 each for matching five out of the six winning digits. Meanwhile, 367 individuals will receive PHP2,000 each for four correct digits, and 9,946 participants will get PHP100 each for three correct digits.
The Ultra Lotto 6/58 is drawn thrice a week, specifically every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. The PCSO encouraged the public to continue supporting the games, emphasizing that a significant portion of the revenues aids the government’s charity programs.
