More than 200 companies invest in Boten Special Economic Development Zone

The Boten Special Economic Development Zone in Luang Namtha Province has attracted 260 domestic and foreign companies, with combined registered capital of over 676.7 billion kip (approx. US$50.9 million).

Mr. Khonthong Luengkhamma, Head of Boten Special Economic Development Zone Management Committee, told the media on May 18 that 1,131 ha have been cleared to accommodate the inflow of investment.

The zone has been divided into three zones including the international trade and financial zone (266 ha), the cultural and tourism zone (732.6 ha) and the logistic zone (133 ha).
