Reward money for killer of BARMM worker raised to P200K

COTABATO CITY: Police authorities in Maguindanao del Norte offered another PHP100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the gunman who shot dead a lady employee of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) last April 18 in Datu Odin Sinsuat town.

The additional reward money offered by Colonel Salman Sapal, Maguindanao del Norte police provincial director, raised the current bounty for the still-unidentified killer to PHP200,000.

‘We are exhausting all efforts in investigating this crime and ensuring that those responsible will be held accountable for their actions,’ Sapal said in a statement Monday.

Christhia Angela Aragoncillo, 27, logistics management officer of the BARMM Ministry of Social Services and Development-Maguindanao provincial office, was driving her car heading for home when ambushed by an unidentified gunman at 6 p.m. that day, killing her instantly and wounding her co-worker. An office mate in the same car escaped unharmed.

Sapal said anyone with
information about the perpetrator may coordinate with his office and be treated with utmost confidentiality.

The regional police office also created the Special Investigation Task Group-Aragoncillo to provide rapid results in the investigation and prosecution of the perpetrator.
