Vientiane Rescue 1624 donated an ambulance

Mayor of Vientiane Atsaphangthong Siphandone has presented an ambulance and equipment worth over 650 million kip, donated by Xiengkhuan Buddha Park, to Vientiane Rescue 1624 represented by its President Mr Lamnguen Vongphachan.

Held on Apr 1, the handover ceremony was witnessed by relevant officials of both sides.

Expressing thanks to the donor, Mr Lamnguen Vongphachan assured the donor that the vehicle will be properly looked after and used to its full potential to save the lives of victims of road accidents, especially during the celebration of Pi Mai Lao (Lao New Year).

Vientiane Rescue 1624 provides emergency services in six districts across the capital city including Xaysettha, Pakngum, Xaythany, Hadxaifong, Chanthaboury and Sikhottabong.

The rescue team, staffed with more than 100 volunteers, currently has 12 ambulances and all of them operate around the clock.
