The Chairman of Executive Board of Viet-Lao Power Joint Stock Company, Mr Le Thanh Tao has donated US$200,000 in cash to the Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone in an attempt to help the flood victims across the country. The handover ceremony took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Vientiane in the presence of relevant officials on Aug 14.
Prime Minister Sonexay expressed thanks the donor for their humanitarian assistance for flood victims, noting that such generous assistance meets the requirements of current situation, contributing to natural disaster response and recovery efforts.
Mr Tao expressed his appreciation to relevant parties of Laos for providing assistance to the flood victims quickly, and expressed his confidence that under the guidance of the government and all levels of administration will be able to overcome the problems
