BARMM cops get 19 new patrol vehicles, security equipment

To enhance operational efficiency, officials of the Police Regional Office in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRO-BARMM) distributed more than PHP47.5 million worth of brand-new police vehicles and security equipment to various police units in the region on Thursday. ‘This is to underscore the utilization of the mobility and equipment with the ultimate goal of providing more substantial assistance to the community,’ Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, PRO-BARMM director, said during the turnover program at Camp SK Pendatun, the headquarters of PRO-BAR in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte. Of the 20 brand-new police pickup vehicles, six were given to the Maguindanao del Norte Provincial Police Office (PPO), 11 to the Maguindanao del Sur Provincial Police Office, and two to the Lanao del Sur PPO. Nobleza also turned over to the police field units modern security operations equipment composed of 145 undershirt vests, 47 enhanced combat helmets and 47 tactical vests. ‘These were specifically turned over to high-risk police stations across BARMM,’ he said. Nobleza also acknowledged local government entities for their support and collaboration in maintaining peace and order in the region.
