Mekong journalists enrich professionalism

On Mar 29, more than 70 journalists from Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) member countries attended a training session themed “Role of Journalists on the Shared River and Shared Future” hosted by the Ministry of Information of Cambodia via a video conference.

The media training aimed to enrich knowledge and professionalism among Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) journalists and promote information sharing.

Prominent resource persons on the topic have been invited to share knowledge and experiences.

At the training, participants learned about role of journalists in promoting prosperity and economic development in MLC countries, experiences of Economic Daily, according to Mr. Zhang Bao, Chief Correspondent to the Economic Daily (Cambodia Bureau), a major Chinese economic newspaper.

The trainees also learned about measures and mechanisms used by governments and journalists in dealing with fake news.
