Shear line, easterlies to dampen most of PH


The shear line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon and the easterlies affecting Visayas and Mindanao are expected to bring scattered or isolated rain showers in most parts of the country, the weather bureau said Friday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the two weather systems will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Bicol Region, Aklan, Capiz, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, and Quirino, as well as partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

solated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said Luzon will experience moderate to rough winds and moderate to rough coastal waters while the Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 23°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 16°C to 25°C; Laoag City, 23°C to 31°C; Legazpi City, 26°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 30°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 26°C to 33°C.
