As of Nov 14, 2.99 million people, representing 40.83 % of population in the country, have been vaccinated against Covid-19 with 3.54 million people, 48.29 %, inoculated with first Covid-19 shots.
The government plans to have 50% of population in the country vaccinated against Covid-19 by the end of 2021 and 80% next year.
The elderly, people with underlying medical conditions, women with 12 or more weeks of pregnancy, and people aged 17 and older are highly recommended to receive Covid-19 vaccines.
As of Monday, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Laos has reached 55,018 including 104 deaths and 10,158 active cases.
