Laos has reported 454 new Covid-19 cases, the lowest single-day infection since Mar 16, with the total caselo0ad reaching 199,434.
Most of the new confirmed cases of Covid-19 were reported in Vientiane with 253, Vientiane (province) 37, Xayaboury 35, Attapeu 27, Khammuan 16 and Luang Prabang 15.
The coronavirus has claimed three lives over the past 24 hours raising the total number of deaths to 712.
Across the country, there are 2,356 active cases, according to the National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.
As of Apr 12, over 5.7 million people, representing 77.98% of population in the country, have been vaccinated with at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, according to the Centre of Information and Education for Health, Ministry of Health.
Meanwhile, the number of those fully vaccinated against the coronavirus currently stands at 4.7 million.
