Korea’s Red Cross donates Covid-19 Preventive equipment to Laos

The Republic of Korea National Red Cross has provided Covid-19 preventive equipment to Laos.

The donation package included facemasks, soap, antiseptics and 440 boxes of hand gels worth more than 600 million kip (slightly over 60,000 US dollars). The equipment will then be donated to people in need.

Held on Aug 11, the handover ceremony was attended by President of the Lao Red Cross Phouthone Meuangpak, representatives of the Vientiane Red Cross, relevant officials and volunteers.

Addressing the handover, President of the Lao Red Cross Phouthone Meuangpak expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Korea National Red Cross for providing the equipment and noted that the assistance had contributed to strengthening the cooperation between the Lao Red Cross and the Republic of Korea National Red Cross.
