Laos’ COVID-19 cases rise to 9,363

The Ministry of Health reported on Thursday 202 new cases of COVID-19, raising the total in the country to 9,363 including 4087 active cases and nine deaths.

Deputy Director General of the Department of Communicable Disease Control, Ministry of Health, Dr Sisavath Southanilasay told a press conference in Vientiane today that the country has recorded 190 imported COVID-19 infections, 12 local transmissions and one death over the last 24 hours.

Among the imported cases, 118 were reported in Champassak, 34 in Vientiane, 27 in Savannakhet, eight in Saravan and three in Bolikhamsay.

The 12 new local transmissions included six in Savannakhet, two each in Champassak and Vientiane (Province), and one each in Vientiane and Saravan.
