Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh received on Apr 11 Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam Nguyen Hong Dien as the latter was on a working visit to the Lao PDR.
Prime Minister Phankham highly valued Dien’s visit as a significant contribution to enhancing the longstanding relations, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, governments and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, and the celebration of the Laos-Vietnam Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022, the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Laos-Vietnam Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, and the 60th anniversary of Laos-Vietnam diplomatic ties.
Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the government and people of Vietnam for their support and assistance to the Lao PDR in all areas, especially education, health, poverty reduction, and human resource development.
In reply, the Vietnamese minister informed the premier about the purpose of his visit to the Lao PDR and the result of the meeting between his delegation and their Lao counterparts.
