QCPD’s 24-hour anti-crime ops net 15 wanted persons, 12 others

Twenty-seven persons were arrested during anti-illegal drugs and criminality operations in Quezon City in the past 24 hours. In a statement Wednesday, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said the figure includes 15 wanted persons. He added that they would notify the respective courts of origin of the warrants regarding the arrests of the accused. Meanwhile, nine drug suspects were nabbed and PHP89,400 worth of shabu and several drug paraphernalia were seized in a series of buy-bust operations on Tuesday. The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Police officers also arrested three persons who yielded several illegal gambling paraphernalia and bet money. A case of violation of Presidential Decree 1602 or the Anti-Illegal Gambling Law will be filed against them
